#35　夢のかたち

夢は、記憶や感情、イメージが無意識のうちにつながって生まれる「物語」だと考えています。
辻褄が合わなかったり、意味がわからなかったりして、現実よりも嘘っぽく見えることもある。
けれどその曖昧さこそが、夢がいちばん正直な存在である理由かもしれません。

夢は完全な異世界ではなく、必ず現実とつながっています。
だからこそ、私たちは夢の中に、現実を生きるためのヒントを見つけることができるのではないでしょうか。

私たちが惹かれるのは、自分自身を映し出す「夢」や「鏡」のような世界なのかもしれません。
夢は、言葉になる前の心の状態が、象徴として現れる映画のようなものです。

HOUGAのものづくりも、感覚や感情から始まります。
まず内面に目を向け、言葉にならない感覚をかたちにしていく。
それは、夢を手繰り寄せる作業にとてもよく似ています。

夢の解釈が人それぞれ違うように、HOUGAの服も着方は自由です。
曖昧さや余白を否定せず、受け取る人の感覚に委ねたいと考えています。

ファッションは本来、とても実用的なものです。
それでいて、夢の世界を映し出すことができるところに、私は大きな魅力を感じています。

私たちは現実にしか生きることはできません。
だからこそ、服を通して、さまざまな世界や感覚を行き来できるような「夢」を描いていきたいと思っています。

 I believe that dreams are stories created by the unconscious,
where memories, emotions, and images connect freely on their own.

They may feel disjointed or difficult to understand,
sometimes appearing less truthful than reality itself.
Yet it may be precisely this ambiguity
that makes dreams the most honest of all.

Dreams are not completely separate worlds.
They are always connected to reality.
That is why, within dreams,
we may find clues for how to live in the real world.

Perhaps we are drawn to dreams—
and to mirror-like worlds—because they reflect ourselves.

A dream is like a film in which states of mind,
still unformed into words,
emerge as symbols.

HOUGA’s creations also begin with sensation and emotion.
By turning inward and giving form
to feelings that cannot yet be put into words,
the process closely resembles drawing a dream toward us.

Just as dreams are interpreted differently by each person,
HOUGA’s garments are meant to be worn freely.
We do not deny ambiguity or leave no room for interpretation,
instead entrusting meaning to the sensibilities of the wearer.

Fashion is, at its core, practical.
And yet, it holds the power to reflect a dreamlike world—
this is where I find its greatest allure.

We can only exist in reality.
That is precisely why, through clothing,I want to imagine dreams that allow us
to move freely between different worlds and sensations.
