—地下の劇場に現れるHOUGAの国
私たちは「あなたの可能性が萌芽する」をブランドのコンセプトに掲げています。
そして今回2026年秋冬コレクションをショー形式で発表しました。
通常のコレクションテーマとは別にショーのコンセプトを設け、
ショーではそれぞれの魅力やありのままの美しさが目覚める瞬間を小劇場で再現し上演しました。
「THEATRE HOUGA」では、ドレスを纏う役者は誰もが主役で自分らしくいられる。
そんなブランドの根源となる物語を上演する、初めての試みとなりました。
ショーの着想源は、既存の形式にとらわれず自由で実験的な演劇が生まれる“Off-Off-Broadway”。
HOUGAの夢と現実をつなぐ自由な精神を、小劇場で生まれるここにしかない時間の共有を通して、ファッションと演劇の両面から立ち上げます。
ありのままの自分をひらいてみれば、それは優しく静かな反骨の物語の開演です。
テーマはOur Playground
世界は、わたしたちの遊び場。
重圧から半歩ずれた視点で、見慣れた街は遊び場になる。
「あそぶ」とは吾に沿ぶこと。
好きに在ると決めた身体は、空気をまとい、軽く浮く。
日常に潜んでいた小さなファンタジーの欠片をすくい上げ、
HOUGAのドレスは現実に余白をひらく。
その瞬間、世界はわたしたちの遊び場になる。
雲の上はいつも晴れ。
子どものような好奇心とともに、恐れずに一歩を踏み出す。
見慣れたものや見過ごされがちなものの中に、美しさはある。
HOUGAは “Unbirthday Party Dress” を通して、
ありのままの自分で自由に生きるための小さな夢を届けます。
特別なものではなく、着想源はいつも日常の中にあります。
落書き、くしゃくしゃな紙くず、
落ちているフォーク、歪んだカーテン、
道端の花、水たまりの鏡、
そして、毎日そこにある空。
無意識の風景の中に、ファンタジーへの入口はすでにひらいている。
舞台美術はCALLA FLOWERS。
飾らなくても美しいものは美しい。
他者の視線にも評価にも依存しない、ただ自分らしく咲き誇る花たちを今回の舞台美術の主役に迎えました。
先が見えない不安な時代の中で、
完璧なものや強いものに目を向けがちになるけれど、
本当は、日常の中にあるなんでもないものや、揺らぎを持つものの美しさにこそ、心を解きほぐす力があるのではないでしょうか。

人格形成とは、一種の役作りではないでしょうか。 人は「自分」という役について学び、そして一人の役者としてどういう人物を演じたいのかを追求しながら、成長してゆく生き物なのかもしれません。
今回のショーのために石田さんと対話を重ねていくうちに、彼女は服を着せる人ではなくて、服を脱がせる人なのではないかと感じるようになりました。
生涯同じ人物を演じ続けるのは大変なことです。そして人生という演劇には幕間の休憩もなければ、休演日もありません。
そんな私たちに石田さんは服を着せることで、普段は脱ぐことのできない舞台衣装をそっと脱がせてくれようとしているのかもしれません。
HOUGAは役者を裸にし、 長年築き上げた「役」から束の間自由にしてくれるブランドなのかもしれません。

THEATRE HOUGA
—The land of HOUGA appears in an underground theatre.
HOUGA is guided by the concept “Sprout your veiled gift.”
This show captures the moment when each person’s unique charm and unpolished beauty quietly awaken. Set within the intimate space of a small theatre, the presentation unfolds not as a traditional runway, but as a shared experience between audience and performer.
The inspiration comes from the spirit of Off-Off-Broadway, where experimental performances emerge beyond established formats. Within this underground stage, fashion and theatre intersect, creating a space where HOUGA’s world moves fluidly between dream and reality.
To reveal oneself as they truly are can be a quiet act of resistance—
a gentle rebellion against the pressure to be perfect.

Our Playground
Half a step away from the pressure, the world becomes our playground.
To play is to follow one’s own self.
A body that decides to exist freely wraps itself in air and begins to float lightly. Gathering the small fragments of fantasy hidden within everyday life,
HOUGA’s dresses open a margin within reality.
In that moment, the world becomes our playground.
Above the clouds, the sky is always clear.
With childlike curiosity, we step forward without fear.
Unbirthday party dresses for everyday.
In the familiar and the overlooked, there is beauty.
Through the Unbirthday Party Dress,
HOUGA offers a small dream—
a dream that gives us the strength to live freely as we are.
Inspiration does not come from something extraordinary.
It is always found within the everyday.
A doodle.
A crumpled piece of paper.
A fallen fork.
A distorted curtain.
Flowers by the roadside.
The mirror of a puddle.
And the sky that is always there.
Within these unconscious landscapes,
the doorway to fantasy is already open.
Stage Design CALLA FLOWERS
Beauty needs no adornment.
For this stage design, we welcome as our protagonists flowers that bloom proudly in their own way—unreliant on the gaze or judgment of others.
In times of uncertainty, when the future feels hard to see, we often find ourselves drawn to things that appear perfect or strong. Yet perhaps the beauty that truly softens the heart lies in the ordinary—in the small, imperfect, and quietly shifting things that exist within everyday life.

Isn’t the formation of one’s character a kind of role-making?
Perhaps human beings are creatures who learn about the role called “the self,” growing while exploring what kind of person they wish to perform as actors in their own lives.
Through many conversations with designer while preparing for this show, I began to feel that she is not someone who simply dresses people, but someone who helps them take something off.
To perform the same character throughout an entire lifetime is no easy task.
And in the theatre called life, there is neither intermission nor a day off from the stage.
By dressing us in her garments,she may in fact be gently helping us remove the stage costumes we usually cannot take off.
Perhaps HOUGA is a brand that lays actors bare— freeing them, if only for a moment, from the roles they have spent a lifetime performing.
