服は、着る人を応援するためにあると考えています。
自分が自分を好きになるために選ぶもの。
内側にある自分を、「そのまま外に出していい」とそっと背中を押してくれるもの。
それが、HOUGAの服です。
服を選ぶ理由として、
おしゃれに見せたい、スタイルを良く見せたい、TPOに合わせたい、など
他人の目線に合わせにいくことも、確かに大きいと思います。
でもそれだけではなくて、
「自分はこうありたい」
「こういう人間でいたい」
そんな意志を選ぶことでもあると思っています。
HOUGAの服を着ることは、
自分の感覚を裏切らずに生きるという選択です。
服はいつも、私たちの一番近くで一日をともに過ごします。
だからその日のスタイルは、その日の自分に影響を与えます。
パジャマを着ると落ち着いたり、
ジャケットを着ると少しシャキッとした気持ちになったり。
心も行動も、自然と変わっていくものです。
私は、おめかしの服を着ている日だけは、
服に力をもらって前向きな気分になり、楽しく過ごせるので、
ドレスアップの服が好きでした。
発表会、結婚式、卒業式、入学式、旅行やお出かけ...
「あの日はこれを着ていた」と思い出せるアイテムが、
誰にでもあるのではないでしょうか。
でも、その“特別な日”は、そんなに多くありません。
だからこそ、なんでもない日も、少しだけ特別にするドレスが必要だと思いました。
HOUGAが作りたいのは、
特別な日だけのためのドレスではなく、人生の1日1日を特別にするためのドレスです。
特別にしたい日に着てほしい。
そしてできれば、毎日を自分の納得する自分で楽しく過ごしてほしい。
無理をしなくてもいい。
でも、自分を少し好きになれる。
そんなUnbirthday Party Dressを、これからも作っていきます。
Why Unbirthday Party Dress
We believe that clothing exists to support the person who wears it.
It is something you choose to love yourself.
Something that gently encourages you to express your inner self just as it is.
That is what HOUGA clothing is.
There are many reasons why we choose what to wear—
to look stylish, to appear more flattering, to fit the occasion.
These external perspectives are certainly important.
But beyond that,
choosing what to wear is also an act of intention.
It is about deciding:
“Who do I want to be?”
“How do I want to exist in the world?”
Wearing HOUGA means choosing to live without betraying your own sensibilities.
Clothing is always closest to us, accompanying us throughout the day.
That is why what we wear influences how we feel.
Wearing pajamas makes us feel calm.
Putting on a jacket can make us feel more composed.
Our emotions and actions shift naturally with what we wear.
I realized that on days when I dressed up,
my clothes gave me a sense of confidence and joy.
Recitals, weddings, graduations, new beginnings, trips, and special outings…
We all have dresses that hold memories—
pieces we remember wearing on meaningful days.
But those “special days” are not so frequent.
That is why I felt there should be dresses
that can make ordinary days feel a little more special.
What HOUGA creates is not just for special occasions,
but dresses that make life itself feel special.
We hope you wear them on days you want to make special.

You don’t have to try too hard.
